vaguely Chinese new cuisine in Den Haag

7-15-2014 Tue. cool, clouds and sun. 



BREAKFAST --- coffee
LUNCH --- ( at World Forum ) smoked salmon sandwich 
AFTERNOON-TEATIME ---  coffee
DINNER --- ( at HanTing restaurant, The Hague )  chef Han's  4-course menu :  Tuna in different degrees of rawness and shapes, with tomatoey sauce, and a lone raw shrimp like an imposter | a small bowl of seasoned rice | bronzino filet with beech mushrooms and quinoa, cucumber sauce | cod and zucchini | sous-vide lamb with all sorts of supporting characters including bacon! | Rose and white from Languedoc

  • the only Chinese part is a cut-up canned little corn thing. the rice is more in Japanese sushi rice style, but with rather bad mushy texture.  The best cooked is the lamb, silky consistency and good flavor by itself. 
  • service is very good
