Improvising ratatouille

8-19-2011 Fri. hot, sunny, late storm.


BREAKFAST --- coffee
LUNCH --- rice with caramelized carrots
AFTERNOON-TEATIME
--- apricot
DINNER --- Shanghai salsa ( smoked tofu, spicy peanuts and cilantro) | ratatouille | pasta | fennel and lettuce salad | beer


  • the preparation of a Friday meal usually starts with spreading out whatever vegetables available, then improvise whatever recipes loosely suitable. it feels good to see an empty fridge by Friday evening, not fresh food gets wasted.
