1-10-2014 Fri. chilly, rain.  


BREAKFAST --- coffee 
LUNCH --- rice with kung-pao chicken 
AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- tea
DINNER --- ( for cooking group ) eggplant relish with rice crackers | edamame | crispy peanuts | cava || ji-cai wonton | deep-fried spring roll with rice vinegar dipping sauce | cured tofu and shiitake skewer with shiso | spiced lamb shank stew | stir-fried cauliflower | rice | wine || tea rolled cake and candied lotus seeds | green tea 









 
  • a groupd no longer Take Five, without + for a while.

baked rice with lamb, a Central Asian version

4-15-2013 Sun. mild, sunny.  


WEEKEND BREAKFAST --- coffee | scallion pancake | mango 
AFTERNOON-TEATIME ---  tea 
DINNER --- ( at Inger's )  cracker and cheese |wine | tomato salad | Central Asian baked rice with lamb, garlic, green chili and carrots | ice cream | tea 


 
  • this is the Central Asian version of baked rice with lamb, a little milder than the Afghan version.
