• Wu-Kang becomes a tourist traction, waves of people posting and snapping photos along the street, an ice cream shop has a queue out of door. 
• Yuan Yuan restaurant is a disappointment for Shanghai-style cooking.

• a humming bird visited blue-black salvia in our fall garden this morning, I was not fast enough to catch the image of the interesting visitor.

• so-called Shanghai big wonton is filled with minced scallion, shrimp and chicken. egg is cooked first like a thin pancake then cut into thin threads. dashi broth is prepared in the traditional way of using kombu ( dried kelp) and katsuo-bushi ( dried bonito flakes)
