Chilled Korean noodle soup - summer fruits full load from the farmer's market: honeyloupe ( not as good as honeydew) , watermelon, white peach, nectarine , plume, blueberries .
- first try on chilled Korean noodle soup, two things not quite right yet: fat in beef broth, noodle not chewy enough.

- very homey and satisfying big bowl soup with everything

DINNER --- ramen in vegetable broth ( with napa cabbage, beech mushroom, tofu skin roll, wood-ear and spicy pickled bamboo shoots) | steamed taco-shaped pork buns ( wine and soy braised pork shoulder, caramelized shallots and jalapeno ) | wine
- soup noodles and pork buns, Chinese comfort food made famous at Momofuku, came back home

- back to home cooking, using bonito and a new set of small dishes found from Japanese market in S.F.

DINNER --- pan-fried pork chop | Matsuzaka soup noodles with winter bamboo shoot, shiitake, leek and napa cabbage
- dream to have some noodle stalls around the street corner, a big bowl of steaming hot soup noodles in such a cold day.

LUNCH --- rice with bitter melon ( leftovers )
AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- apple
DINNER --- Matsuzaka noodle soup with shrimp, zucchini, needle mushroom and sausage | fennel salad | wine
- soup noodles warm you up quickly in a chilly day.

- 1 bundle Matsuzaka noodles
- 1 green onions, chopped finely
- 1/2 cup snow pea leaves
- 1 winter shiitake mushroom
- 5 pieces shrimp
- 5 pieces wood-ear fungi, revived by cooking in hot water for 30 minutes
- 1 cup kombu bonito dashi
- 2 slices pickled radish
- boil the water in a big pot and add dried noodles, cook like pasta, till the noodle is al dente
- simmer the wood-ear, shiitake and shrimp in the dashi soup stock for 5 minutes
- add pea leaves and green onion to the soup
- in a big bowl, arrange the cooked noddles at the bottom
- pour the hot soup over the noodles, arrange the mushroom, pea leaves, wood-ear and shrimp in the bowl
- put the pickled radish in a small bowl as a side dish
- serve hot
