fast and fresh sauce: pesto

BREAKFAST --- coffee
LUNCH --- ceviche with chayote  and pickled ginger
AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- plum | peach 
DINNER --- steamed artichoke with lemon butter dipping | pasta with pesto sauce | salad of cherry tomato and fresh mozzarella |  marinated gigante beans and olives | wine

BREAKFAST

LUNCH --- pasta with sofrito sauce and snap peas (leftovers)
AFTERNOON-TEATIME
--- apple
DINNER --- (at Susann's ) cocktail drink | hummus with smoked salmon || sauteed shrimp with roasted squash and yam | mozzarella salad | pasta with pesto sauce | fish cake with green sauce | wine || basil ice cream and Basler cookie

Fresh basil, fresh Pesto!

BREAKFAST --- coffee
LUNCH --- rice with chive flowers and smoked tofu (leftovers)
AFTERNOON-TEATIME
--- apple
DINNER --- linguine fini with pesto sauce | chayote in citrus dressing | shanghai-style short ribs | white wine


  • a bundle of fresh basil from the farmer's market perfumed the whole place. and Oreste's quote again: never ever heat or cook basil!
