Mediterranean flavors at Zaytinya

DINNERS  ---  (at Zaytinya DC) pillow bread | Baba Ghannouge | Htipiti | Smoked Beet Salata (feta, pomegranate, roasted pistachio, greens, clementine)  |  Chicken Soup Avgolemono (classic Greek egg and lemon soup) | Imam Bayildi (inspired by the legendary preparation from the Ottoman era, eggplant, onions and tomato slowly cooked in olive oil with aromatic spices and garnished with pine nuts) | Octopus Santorini (grilled Mediterranean octopus, marinated onions, capers, yellow split pea purée) | Branzino ( seared Mediterranean sea bass, celery root skordalia, almonds, capers) | Turkish coffee chocolate cake (molten center Valrhona chocolate cake, roasted pistachio, mastic ice cream, chocolate pearls) | Walnut delight ( walnut ice cream, yogurt mousse, honey gelée, orange-caramel sauce, caramelized pine nuts) | Turkish coffee

( at home )  lotus root | tofu and crab meat | mustard green | purple stem dandelion and pint nuts | Chinese noodle soup with king mushroom and wood ear |pasta with homemade ragu sauce ( minced meat  from lamb neck, carrot, celery, parsley, roasted red pepper, onion, garlic, and tomato )
