AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- sherry | almond chocolate pocky 

DINNER --- steamed Chinese eggplant with shiso leaves | twice-cooked chicken | sauteed zucchini, bell pepper, needle mushroom and bean curd thread 

• chicken recooked,  a bit better than yesterday 

kimchi stew and ginger cookies for a cold day

DINNER --- stir-fried chive flowers with smoked tofu | parboiled sweet snap peas | Korean style hot sour stew of seven vegetables: shiitake, napa cabbage, bell pepper, leek, gingko seeds, Chinese mountain yam, and Chinese silk gourd with kimchi | rice ||  home baked Nordic ginger cookies 

• endless variation of patterns on cookies around a ginger cookie house 

Nordic sweet buns: apple-shaped with apple compote filling

AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- cold cuts and cheese board | cocktail jin and grapefruit juice 
DINNER --- baked Japanese sweet potato fries | baked bronzino | soy braised daikon with shiitake | parboiled baby spinach | lamb and potato hash || tea | home baked Nordic sweet buns 

• these buns  "grow up" perfectly in oven.  the little leaf is made of pumpkin seed, and little stem is made by Pocky stick.  one with apple compote filling, one with homemade hazelnut paste filling.
