DINNER --- Thai-style seafood stew over rice | sauteed Swiss chard | wine




  • simple one bowl meal, full of the hotness of Thai chile and the scent of lemongrass, Thai basil and kaffir lime leaves

Thai coconut green curry

LUNCH --- rice with sauteed chive flowers and smoked tofu
AFTERNOON-TEATIME
--- apple
DINNER --- salad of chayote and jellyfish with citrus dressing | Thai coconut curry cauliflower with Thai basil | sauteed bean sprouts and shittake | rice | wine

  • Thai green curry uses fresh Thai green hot chili with its hot index almost 10, coconut milk makes the dish richer and milder, some sugar also helps.

DINNER --- green curry shrimp with Thai basil | stir-fried chive flowers and smoked tofu with fermented black beans | sauteed bean sprouts and jalapeno | rice | wine


  • try out green curry of Thai food, Thai green chili, shallots, garlic, and a handful spices of the usual suspects of curry family. it is hot, intense, and flavorful, and somehow tastes totally the opposite of Japanese curry.

DINNER --- mojito | guacamole || mong bean noddle salad with Thai hot chili peppers, in lime and coconut milk sauce | steamed bun with fillings of mustard green and Sichuan chili sauce| pan-roasted jalapeno peppers stuffed with minced tofu skin and flat leave chives | hot and spicy stew of kaofu (wheat gluten), wood-ear, king mushroom, bamboo shoot and day lily buds | jasmine rice | sake || peaches, raspberries with Grand Marnier flavored whipped cream | green tea
