From India to Italy

WEEKEND BREAKFAST --- coffee | croissant | strawberries | honeydew | cherries  AFTERNOON-TEATIME --- tea 
DINNER --- ( at Oreste's ) Guggari (south-Indian lentils with coconut, chillies and lime juice) | Poha (beaten rice)  | Papadam with coriander chutney | German Riesling || Timballo di spaghetti ( traditional Apulian dish of baked pasta dish with cheese and tomato sauce, and a hot  sauce on the side ) | Salice Salentino || schiacciata (ancient Mediterranean bread.. described in Vergil the Roman poet as `mensa', a bread used as `dish' for cheese and other things. It contains spelt and millet flours) |  Sheep-Based cheeses from the Mediterranean  || Primitivo di Puglia (possibly the most ancient grape in Italy) ||  orange liquor cake | Sicilian blood orange liquor | Rum | wild chocolate
